Thomas Sampson, is a 23year old British music producer, DJ, and re-mixer. His music is a blend of garage, house, and electronic.
It was from a young age that TS7 realised he had a huge interest in music. From the age of just 5, his parents made him have lessons to learn how to play the piano. He went on to achieve grade 5 by the time he was 13. Producing started at the young age of 14 when he managed to get hold of the software ‘Fruityloops’ (now known as FL Studio).
It was in 2007 when his distinctive sound lead him to become one of the top producers in the underground scene, producing hitssuch as ‘Smile’, ‘Raise Your Glasses’, ‘Ding Dong’, ‘Crazy Crush’, and ‘Come On Over’. He was also at 6th form, studying Music, Maths and Economics.
In December 2007, at the age of just 17, he was approached by Atlantic Records to remix Estelle’s ‘American Boy’ which went on to reach number 1 in the national charts. The next few years would see him do official remix work for many of the major labels in the UK. His remix credits include Estelle, Tulisa, Afrojack, Lethal Bizzle, Yolanda Be Cool, Meleka, Sugarush Beat Company and T2.
In 2013, TS7 signed to management company 2-Tone Entertainment and also inked a record dealwith established Urban/Dance label 3Beat Records (who work with Universal Records). The 1st release was the club anthem “Heart Light”, and featured rising star Taylor Fowlis- it was a huge hit at 1Xtra and the radio 1 specialists. TS7 also released the “Receptive EP” as well as a club record called “Reach”, both of which made waves across clubland in both the UK and internationally.
2014 is set to be another exciting year with his newly announced weekly residency on Kiss Fresh radio on Saturday nights. TS7’s remix of the Number 1 Sigma single “Nobody To Love” has also created a storm online and has set the tone for what is set to be another busy year for the young producer/DJ.
